This mix of a bunch of hardwoods including, hard maple, cherry, black walnut, purpleheart, padauk, yellowheart and rosewood brought together as a chaos board. That coupled with an end grain construction and a unique juice groove with collection pool, makes this the perfect board
How to care for your cutting board:
Only hand wash! It should never go in a dishwasher
Soap and water should be sufficient for cleaning
Allow to dry vertically
If wood starts to dull, it’s time to wax
Apply a small amount of wax, let a few minutes go by and then buff
Each of our boards comes with a 0.75oz can of Walrus Oil Cutting Board Wax. Depending on size of board, it should provide 1-2 applications. We only use Walrus Oil Wax on our boards and highly recommend them. If you are interested in reordering more, visit: https://walrusoil.com/
*All boards made with dense hardwoods sourced from Ghent Wood Products in NY. Common hardwoods used include: Maple, which is higher on the Janka hardness scale (outside of the Purpleheart used in our boards), followed by Black Walnut and then Cherry. The harder the wood, the more durable it is, but your knife may require more maintenance (honing). It’s all about the knife you are using and how aggressive you are slicing and dicing.
